For the record I was right about Maxwell he was the best QB out there for Boise State tonight and Gholston thank you for the 3 points again he was just what I thought he was. Bell God I hope he has something left for CMU next week because on offense thats all MSU has we shall see if that is enough for the season.
Joe don't slide in the 4th.... Our D blew everyone away including Sparty fans who could not get over the presure they brought.
All in all I was very proud of Bronco Nation who showed up and spoke with a loud voice I was equally proud of the over all hospitality of my fellow Michiganders to my Bronco Nation brothers.
More tomorrow now it's off to the drive home
im waiting for you to just man up and admit you were wrong. Boises offense only scored 3 points that weren't off turn overs and our fat little 1 dimensional running back ran all over you. You're a fat middle aged man and a small time internet troll. Peterson the program and the rest of your fanbase has a ton of class you should try to learn from them.
Ya, the Broncos offense and defense looked good tonight. Managing a whooping 206 yards, while simultaneously being out-gained by ONE MAN. Ya, they looked reeeeeeeeeal good.
I'm being sarcastic, of course. Hope it's being picked up on, I'm laying it on pretty thick.
@FreeSurgery Bell was a monster no doubt , I see my pic didn't come through I should be noted I made this post at 2 am on the hood of a car . Got home at 3 am watched the first half will finish the second halfshortly as I have only woken up . I guess my points of how proud I was of my fellow Michiganders when right over everyone head...
@FreeSurgery Is this the best writer theblueturf has? I'm a Spartan fan but come on this guy is completely biased and won't give credit where it's due. Let alone he says Bell is the only thing MSU has? Uh did he see our defense? Not to mention Maxwell had more passing yards than the entire BSU Offense had total yards. If he is the best writer then I sincerely hope this site gets shut down for the sake of Boise State. He is making a total ass of himself and he makes Boise State look really bad.
era yes. But Joe Southwick no. It's not easy replacing the best QB in NCAA FB history. Big East won't help BSU at all. That was a horrible move.
@MontyMiller @FreeSurgery He is still a complete idiot who doesn't know football. I like BSU and would never talk shit about them like he is about MSU. it's pathetic. Yes I said BSU sucks. And they did tonight. Their offense was mediocre. And their defense was bad too. Boise State did not force 4 turnovers. Only 2 were legit forced by BSU. The pick 6 and the fumble. The other two were given to BSU by our inexperienced receivers. What does he think BSU is a title contender I mean come on. Get real. Moore era? Yes. Zambranski
Are you that big of a dumbass? First off you go on a Detroit sports site and basically bash our defense. You say we don't know what we had coming to us. We knew what BSU was all about. And for the record Andrew Maxwell had nearly more passing yards than your entire fucking offense. And Central Michigan? You are an even bigger dumbass for that comment. How do you still have a fucking job? Your offense didn't even score an offensive touchdown. Study up on football and when you grow a pair and learn the game then talk shit. Otherwise get the fuck out of here.
@tylerpaas248 Check your own house before you throw stones. I haven't heard ONE sparty yet disown the plentiful comments about the hurt cheerleader, and the fact that we're still waiting just shows you're worse than what you're bitching about. Of course, I was half expecting something like that when a horrific hate crime ( http://www.freep.com/usatoday/article/57376766?odyssey=mod%7Cnewswell%7Ctext%7CFRONTPAGE%7Cp ) happens over there as par for the course. Yeah, sure, we aren't that familiar with losses recently, but don't you think for one second you have some sort of moral superiority over us. People living in glass houses...
very interesting,,,,hmmmmmm,,,very very interesting,,,,
First impression i not respect to the msu defense,, but a bitter tone,, very interesting,,
time for all bsu fams to tip there hats to msu,, i watched that game all the way through,, man for man, the best team was clearly msu. period. Msu and there new qb and lack of deiscipline almost cost them a game that they otherwise would have won by a wider margin,, maybe 2 toucdowns instead of 4 points, Bell, is a beast, he did single handedly defeat the boise after the offense gave bsu 10 points, by carelessness and a clear lack of mental discipline, even an arrogance hat could have cost hem he game last night, and in the fullness of time probaly will cost them a game or 2 this year. That is on dantoni and his staff. And it is in that dept, coaching, that we did see that petersen is a better coach- and that edge was almost enough to steal a game that they had no business winning- mano a mano. Put it this way, if petersen and dantoni swapped players, petersen wins that game by 3 or 4 touchdowns- i have no doubt,
But bsu fans need to get a cold slap in the face too, your team was inferior to the msu squad across the board. otherwise, dantoni never could have/would have won that game. NO way.
Now, show some real class and admit the truth, not the bitter wishful denial, and just respect what was revealed. I know it is hard having your whole seasons dreams crushed on the very first game of the season- given bsu's schedule, the mountain top is only a dream of 'get em next year!' Yes that is true. not the bsu is not a good team, that under petersen will get much better through the season, they will, but the goals of going undefeated and getting a title conversation consideration, are finished. That is what really hurts for bsu fans. You just are not used to that reality under petersens watch. Did the ducks loss to LSU have a similarity? absolutely. And, college unlike the pros doesnt allow for it to be overcome more often than not- unless your a favored 'one of the club of 'entitled' few ala alabama, lsu, sec , usc, ohio stae, etc' , then maybe you can get the pass, but not us 'less fortunate/ whose recruits are regarded as crumbs by those 'mega privileged elites'!!
Both teams were breaking in new qb;s and msu's made some excellent throws mixed in with some rookie mistakes and turnovers galore, along with some really poorly disciplined reciveres that almost gave bsu the win. Your qb wasnt a good in the positive side as the msu guy was, but he was much better disciplined and made far les negtiave plays, so on that score the qb matchup assessment was wash- both are works ib progress, clearly. Msu celebrated every play they made as if it was christmas, even though for most of the game they were behind on the scoreboard. I see that as a really bad trait, One that says we know we are good/talented athletes/superior to many at many positions, we are a little full of ourselves, to the point that we will not secure the football after catches, fumble, take dumb penalties, and bascially cost our team games, and certainly give lesser but better disciplined/coached teams a chance to stay close and maybe beat us too. That is there, it was on full display throughout that whole game , and dantoni needs to look in the mirror, and hsi staff, That is the culture of the team. His exasperation on the sideline thoroughout the game was fascinating given that that is all on him. Wonder if he even has a clue in that. I seriously doubt it, since if he did, his team would not be that way.
Bottom line they were better athletes man for man and in the first game they played just well enough, big plays, bell!!, to win last night. By the end of the year, i would not bet on it. That is why as a ny giant fan, i so understand how in professional sports it matters only how you develop and grow and therefore ARE in the end, not where you were at the begiining, and you can win championships by being the best team at the end, when it is judged in games. The ducks are also a team that becomes better and better, grows along the way, always upward, and increasingly so. I understand that very well. people who really understand football and sports get that, College is more bastion of fans that do not get it, and the college football realm without genuine and deep playoffs, at least top 10 or 12 teams, will not fully allow for that to happen: where the best team at the end regardless of subjetive and alot of flawed bias analysis, to find who truly has become the best on the field. For what thats worth.
Well, no consolation to boise tonight, but you may not lose another game this year, still, you have to know what truly happened last night was boise state was beaten by the better team, and they are not nearly what they will become in the course of the year. But that is the harshnes of the college football realm today. The schedule has worked very much to bsu's advantage in the last several years, becuase petersens bsu teams are fast satrters. But all the key new players were just not yet good enough to pull off another single game against major program early. Otherwise you probably run the table, and maybe meet the ducks in national title game!! Oh, well, tip your hat, and see it as it really was/is, and better luck next year!! Be humble.
@nyduck I'm not awake enough to absorb all your post however allow me to say upon further review of the first half Boise State missed on three trips to the red-zone and Joe flat out blew it by not seeing Mitch Burroughs wide open in the end-zone for what would have been an easy TD.
I can hold my head up high. Those jerk sparties that were laughing at the hurt cheerleader are probably narcissists enough to do so as well.
@OrangeJacketGuy Before during and after the game Matt I have to tell you there were very few Sparty fans who were jerks of any kind I can count on less then 10 fingers the amount of insulting comments that where hurled our way, was there some sure but over all Sparty fans were warm welcoming and lots of fun. I took my time walking back to our parking area talked to hundreds of Sparty fans along the way, I was fully expecting an insult a minute instead I herd praise and excitement.as well as encouragement at least five times I herd folks say to me now win out!
